Trevor Atkin has been on the bench for less than a year after being appointed by Gov. Steve Sisolak in August. He was sworn in as District Judge in November.
Atkin has had 12 cases appealed unsuccessfully, according to Our Nevada Judges.
He was awarded his law degree from McGeorge School of Law at the University of Pacific in 1987.
“Trevor has broad experience in personal injury defense and commercial litigation, having litigated over 25 civil jury trials to verdict as lead trial counsel,” his website says.
He has raised $203,449 and has $23,055 on hand as of October 15.
He is challenged by Jessica Peterson, an attorney in private practice. Her website says she has represented clients landlord-tenant disputes, as well as probate, business, personal injury, and family law. Peterson has been a court appointed arbitrator since 2016.
She’s raised $25,194 and has $694 remaining as of October 15.
