Ben Childs is an attorney with 30 years of legal experience, according to his website. The private practice attorney says his credentials for the judiciary include being the father of seven, including four adopted children. His website says he’s “been through the agony of divorce with children.”
Childs has raised $1,334 and has $705 on hand, according to campaign finance reports.
He did not respond to requests for an interview.
Rhonda Forsberg completed her law degree in 2005 and is a graduate of UNLV’s Boyd School of Law. She was appointed to the Family Court bench in April 2019 by Gov. Steve Sisolak. Since then, she’s been appealed nine times — upheld once and reversed once, according to Our Nevada Judges.
Forsberg’s website says she’s served as a court-appointed counsel in juvenile delinquency cases and as a pro tem Hearing Master for Domestic Violence/Temporary Protective Order applications. She also served as a Hearing Master in Family Court discovery matters.
Forsberg’s website says she’s handled all types of family cases. She did not respond to the Current’s request for an interview. She has raised $19,712 and had about $3,988 on hand as of October 15.
