Nevada’s unemployment rate dropped a tenth of a percentage point, from 4.5 percent in September to 4.4 percent in October, the state Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation announced Wednesday.

“This month’s employment data is another example of the positive change we’ve seen in Nevada’s economy over the last eight years,” said outgoing Gov. Brian Sandoval.

The U.S. unemployment rate in October was 3.7 percent.
