Democratic gubernatorial candidate Steve Sisolak is making a six figure broadcast and cable ad buy in Reno, where the Clark County commissioner is hoping to make a name for himself. In the meantime, he’s borrowing a familiar face and name to help him cozy up to northerners – popular Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval. It’s not the first time that Sisolak has featured Sandoval in an ad.
Sandoval declined to endorse either fellow Republican and Attorney General Adam Laxalt or Sisolak, but that subtlety may be lost on voters if they see Sisolak and Sandoval in the same ad enough times.
In this ad, Sisolak reminds voters that Laxalt opposed Sandoval’s expansion of Medicaid to some 200,000 Nevadans. Sisolak, in case you need reminding, is on the same side as the governor.
