Las Vegas City Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian will sit on the sidelines during the primary election, in which a slew of candidates are vying to replace her. Tarkanian, who is term-limited after serving 12 years, says she may endorse in the general.

According to Tarkanian’s campaign report filed in December, the councilwoman contributed $10,000 in October to the campaign of Robin Munier, who previously worked in Tarkanian’s city hall office.

Tarkanian represents Ward One, the area roughly bordered by Sahara to the south, extending west to Durango at its southern end, and to Rainbow as far north as Cheyenne.  Ward One extends east to Interstate 15 and includes the Medical District near University Medical Center, a focus of city redevelopment.

This item was updated to reflect the campaign contribution from Tarkanian to Munier.
